Bringing quality healthcare to remote communities that need it most.
Home › What We Do › Community Health
For millions of Ugandans living in remote villages, access to even basic healthcare is a daily struggle. Health centers are often too far away, too expensive, or lack essential medicines and trained staff. Preventable diseases like malaria, pneumonia, and diarrhea continue to claim thousands of lives each year — simply because care is out of reach.
At HIAN Charity Foundation, we refuse to accept this reality. Our Community Health Program brings free, high-quality healthcare directly to the doorsteps of underserved communities. Through mobile medical camps, we provide check-ups, vaccinations, malaria testing and treatment, maternal health services, and health education — all at no cost to patients.
We partner with local health professionals, community leaders, and volunteers to ensure that every medical camp is well-organized, well-staffed, and delivers lasting impact. Since 2022, we have conducted multiple camps and treated over 1,200 patients.
We work with community leaders to identify villages with the greatest need and announce upcoming medical camps.
Our team of doctors, nurses, and volunteers sets up mobile clinics with examination areas, pharmacy, and lab testing.
Patients needing ongoing care are referred to partner hospitals. We track outcomes and schedule follow-up visits.

"My baby was sick with fever for days. The nearest clinic is 15km away and I had no money for transport. HIAN's medical camp came to our village and treated my baby for free. They saved her life."
— Nakamya R., Mother, Busabala
"I had high blood pressure and didn't know it. The health workers at the camp checked me, gave me medicine, and taught me how to eat healthier. Now I feel much better. God bless HIAN."
